Tyres

Not too fussy. Use an 18*3.5 front and rear, or go for a 3.25 on the front. No need to use the really expensive tyres, you won't be leaning that far over or laying-down that much power.
I've got a Metzleler M11 in 3.25" section on the front of mine at the moment, and a 3.50" section Michelin M38S on the back. I'm not too happy with the Metzeler, as it seems to follow lines quite badly.
Other fitments are Avon Supremes, and Continental TKP14s. M&P also sell an economy tyre for £20, but that might be taking it too far!

Electrics

Voltage regulator

You can't use any old replacement, as the Bosch dymano uses a different polarity to a Lucas device to regulate its output. Dave Linsley (01706 365838) makes a sells a proper Bosch solid state regulator, with integral heat sink, rated up to 200W and will undertake comprehensive testing and any repair to the NF Bosch dynamo or dynamotor. The man is an angel!

Plug

I've got an NGK B8ES in mine. I understand that the equivalents are: Denso W24ES-U; Champion N3; Bosch W4CC.
The manual says to use a plug of thermal grade 225 on the Bosch-Marelli scale.

Bulbs

Headlamp - Bosch-type with large and small lugs. 12v 45/40w
Tail lamp - 12v 5/20w. Has lugs near and far from the end cap.
Warning lamps - 12v 3w.

Battery

A 12N9-4B-1 fits easily under the seat without touching the metal seat base. It's narrower then the original, so you will need to fix some blocks or brackets to the battery carrier to support it.
